I ought to be..

  1. Less overbearing
  2. More accommodating
  3. More considerate
On a side note, I also need to exercise a stricter budget.

Surprise? Surprise!

I was in for such a huge surprise. The biggest shock of my life.

But I guess, it is now a fact that cannot be changed.

I'm here!

So I haven't blogged for months.

Haven't had time to surf the net at home either. Since February, my shift has changed to 9-6pm, which essentially translates to 9-8pm for most days, 9-9pm on others. I have since quitted on my tuition kid and cut my Yoga classes :(

It has been exciting though - I'm really learning a lot more, completing the live requests as they come flurrying in.

But on Friday, it was kinda heartbreaking. Colleagues in Tokyo were still working, sending in requests/emails, right after the earthquake.

"Btw, an earthquake just happened in Tokyo. We're trying to clear as much work as possible."

"All transportation has stopped. We can't go home."

I really admire them for their resilience.

Reading..again!

It's been a whirlwind of a week!

29 Nov - Pon-ed work after a night of diarrhea.
30 Nov - Rushed home to take dinner, in preparation for my yoga classes (which I was late for)
01 Dec - Rapunzel (3D) with Qian. IT WAS GOOD!!! Qian loves horses now HAHAHA. AND THERE WAS FIREWORKS!! ZOMG SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!
02 Dec - Dinner with Jinmison. Haven't met him since he left for Melbourne!
03 Dec - Went shopping at La Senza with Yang Leng, my primary school classmate-turned-colleague. DAMN HAPPY LAR! It was super exciting! The only casualty was Donnavan who waited for us while loitering around hahahaa BUT IT'S OK. We had Astons! :D

It's an achievement for me to have met up with so many people this week. Definitely sleep-deprived! But I am really proud of myself to have completed one of the To-Do task: READ! I have finished for one more Day by Mitch Albom and The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella. Both were good reads really. I have also completed the Itazura na Kiss jap anime version! BIG LOVE! Hehehe. Hope I will manage to squeeze some time out next week to watch the Taiwan version, followed by the Korean one!

Not a mean feat of course, since I am teaching tuition starting next week - the kid's just staying next block! Convenient max LOL. It's kinda like a favour, but this is gonna eat 2 days of my week from now on. Add to that my weekly yoga class, plus the christmas shopping I am compelled to do - for the TWO christmas gift exchanges in the office!! ZOMG.

SOS PLEASE. I have NO IDEA what to get for guys and I suay-ly got 2 of them when I drew lots.

Lessons for me

I reallyyyyyyyyyyyy need lessons on how to better manage my emotions. Anxiety, eagerness, disappointment, expectations, embarrassment, guilt... everything is on my face, in my actions, affects my speech and is reflected even in the STOMACH! It's been a week of diarrhea and nausea, but I'm guessing it all starts in the mind.

The one lesson I badly need to learn, is to stop running away. I run away from every single difficulty that comes to me. Instead of attempting to resolve any situation, I will try to find ways to skirt around it. This is probably my greatest weakness.

Critique, feedback, unexpected situations - all of which result in a blank mind. It is automated: something out of my expectations happen and I get a mind plug.

And so the mind is plugged. Has been plugged for the past week. Gotta do something.. run? Hide? Avoid? Not working so far.
